GLOBAL GRASSROOTS REVOLUTION OF THE HEART
Written By: Jo-Ann L. Tremblay
This morning we woke up to a snowstorm that has dumped more than 30 Centimetres (12 inches +) of snow. Our neighbour saw fit to shovel his snow, placing it behind our car. An old automobile is parked in the left turning lane, lights are off and snow has gathered on the windshield. As the car was approached an elderly man rolled down the window and asked for help. "It won't start," he said. Nobody, has booster cables, it seems, as dozens of drivers squeeze past avoiding eye contact. I am sure you can come up with some fine examples that happened to you today!
Ok, that's it, time for us to call for a global grassroots revolution of heart!
The Slogan
All have something valuable to offer, you too can be useful.
Message
Imagine the need, problems and nature of burdens others have, and substantially think, care and action how you can contribute while taking care of yourself as well.
Goal
Substantially contribute to the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical quality of life for self and others.
Purpose
Through living by example, inspire generosity of spirit as vital sources and contributing members of the community of humanity, for the betterment of self and all.
Is it so hard to take a moment during every moment of our lives, to satisfy our own needs and wants, and, contribute to the quality of life for others? Can we care about ourselves while also caring about everything and everyone?
I have experienced and observed how we want others to cut us some slack, give us a break, consider our feelings, and so on. Yet, we will jump a line, wait for someone else to put the garbage out, and the list goes on. It must be hard for us to be gracious.
On the other hand, I have experienced and observed people who indulge in feasts of forgiveness, give spontaneous smiles to strangers, relieve others from burden. Possibly, grace toward others is not so much of a challenge?
So where do we stand? Is the global grassroots revolution of heart necessary? It is often said, "acts of kindness costs nothing". Well, if that was the case, more of us would be kinder. The fact is, there is a cost to caring and acting with generosity of spirit. The cost is awareness, self inspiration, motivation, imagination, energy and action. When we contribute our highest best quality of self and life for others we are required to give, often times without reward, materially or otherwise. So with this invitation to join the global grassroots revolution of the heart, comes a warning; a lot of people will be touched and affected. Other people may feel compelled then to pass it on to others. The choice is yours.

YOU CAN DO IT
People have ideas, many of us want to get on with them all right now! But, where to start, how to get on track, and stay there?
We live in a world of ideas and we are all waiting for the next great one to come along, maybe yours is one we're waiting for. Many people have ideas unfortunately they are not concrete, and seem to do a lot of floating around.
You can get on track by deciding on a destination, then you get on course by finding a way to get there. This is achieved by choosing a set of personal and/or professional focus goals. Goals are a destination, an end point. How do you choose your focus goal?
Take a piece of paper and list all of your ideas in order of preference. From this list, choose the one that most excites you. If they all excite you, then still just choose one. Write down the idea as a goal. Goals are specific and time defined. For example; Non-specific and non-time defined - "I'm going to start doing youth training..." A specific and time-defined goal would be - "I will conduct a youth training seminar by May 1..." Now write down your specific and time-defined goal. Writing goals down etches them in your mind. It helps make them stick. Now the goal has become concrete and is no longer floating around.
Take time every day - no more than 5 minutes to read your goal. As you do this, the goal will transform into a commitment. When it becomes a commitment, the goal becomes a part of you, and the odds of you actually doing it will climb. After you have written your goal, beside it spell out the benefits of the goal and the achievement of it. See and know the payoff, the outcome. Once you have a commitment - everything falls into place. You'll find you can make enough time to do it.

Entering The World Of Blogging

Welcome To The World Of Potentials Management And Self-Coaching
Being my very first blog, I am wandering this new path of global communication with excitement and wonder. What a world and time we live in!
My name is Jo-Ann L. Tremblay. I am a Life Coach and Author of "The Self-Coaching Toolbox" - Six tools for personal and professional growth & development.
"The Self-Coaching Toolbox" is available from www.gsph.com, Chapters, Amazon.com. Potentials Management
We have an internal universe and an external one - our challenge is to be aware of what is inside of us and what is outside of us, as we find ways to connect them both, while endeavoring to create balance. Wow, what a challenge!
Every thought, behavior, action, event and happening from within and from our outside world is a potential that can be managed in one form or another. Even those that we may initially believe have a negative potential, can be used to create a meaningful response/experience. In the final analysis the worst case scenario will be a good lesson learned. Through managing all the potentials you can become aware of, you are in one way or another taking the reins in both hands and making life work for you.
Self-Coaching
To become aware and then to manage your self and life happenings you need to be conscious, deliberate and willing to be flexible. You can get on top of your game and stay there through "self-coaching". Self-coaching is managing all of your individual internal potentials, and the potentials that arise from outside of yourself to achieve that which is meaningful for you. You are already coaching on a daily basis in varying degrees as it is; it's part of our nature. You achieve this by envisioning and behaving in accordance to your beliefs, thoughts, and choices. No matter how your personal and professional life is unfolding, you are the most accessible and valuable coach available to you. Why not be the best life coach possible? Let's face it - you're worth it.
As we travel the path of Potentials Management and Self-Coaching together through blogging, I invite you to visit this blog and enjoy exploring life, potentials and self-coaching with me, as we add tools to our personal and professional toolbox.
Till next time remember, "The power in each individual comes from all of us, and the power of all of us comes from each individual." - Jo-Ann L. Tremblay
